Astromatograph Issue 001: Sacred Objects
This issue explores the temporal aspects of film and entertainment, from the fabled Maltese Falcon prop to the infamous Betamax Case which irrevocably altered our relationship to both media and time. It aims to alter the reader's understanding of objects in film as mere "property" to something more akin to talismans. Featuring brilliant contributions from author/musician Ian F. Svenonius, photographer/costumer Mimi Haddon, artist/film-editor Zena Grey and performer/astrologer Camirin Farmer.

Astromatograph Issue 000
Designed like a literary box of candy tasty enough to be available at the concession stand and entertaining enough that it’s the reason you left the house, Issue 000 is a puzzle-box of ruminations on film and divinity with an emphasis on tropical astrological transits, particularly film’s ruling planet neptune departing from its 12+ year stay in dreamy pisces, beckoned onward into the martial terrain of aries in almost perfect unison alongside saturn. A once-in-a-lifetime occurrence worthy of archive, recordation, theorizing and speculation — we hope you enjoy the show!
Segments include:
Saturn Return Curtain Call, an interview with Ken Layne
A Rainstorm in Germania: the Not-There-There of Saturn in Aries by Martha Fearnley
The Existential Crisis of the Fictitious Agency, a tv slideshow-poem-quiz in print by Nadiya Helm
Let’s Play: Spring 2025 by Harmony Ellington
Neptune and the Screen of Dreams, Distortions, Delusions and Deliverance by E.T. Vazquez
